2 Indians Arrested For Organizing Samosa Party In Mumbai During Coronavirus Pandemic

Mumbai, India:  During this coronavirus lockdown, the government of India has asked its residents to make sure they practice social distancing and avoid doing mass gatherings, but that was not the case at a housing society in Ghatkopar.

A musical party was reportedly organized in the premises of a housing society in suburban Ghatkopar, where samosas were served to guests.

As the matter came to light, the police arrested 2 members of the housing society, which includes the chairman.

The men were arrested for violating the prohibitory orders, which are in place to stop the spread of the coronavirus in India.

Rahul Sanghvi (chairman of the society) and Jethalal Dedhia, who had organized the party, were arrested by the police.

The musical party was organized and done on the premises of the Kukreja palace Housing Society in Ghatkopar, Mumbai.

The police said that the party was held on Monday.

An offense was registered on Monday evening after videos of the party went viral on social media.

In the videos and images, around 30 people could be seen gathered in the society premises for the concert.

In some of the clips, people could be seen playing the guitar, eating samosas, and some are giving out samosas to everyone.
