Mercedes Decided To Develop Their Business in Indian Hinterlands

Mercedes is one of the lead vehicle brands for the production of luxury cars. Mercedes is a globally famous brand known for its best quality and luxurious look. Luxurious brand Mercedes carry their business only in 4 metropolitan cities in India.

After studying the trends of the market Mercedes examine that, we should not be limited to just 4 metropolitan cities of India. Instead, they identify that other than these 4 cities people maintained their purchasing power by consuming luxury goods.

How do Mercedes examine the opportunity?

The basic idea behind this identification is, the rapid growth of urbanization, all the people who belong to tier 2 and tier 3 cities are now shifting their focus on quality life and maintain a good quality of life. Apart from this they also examine the increase in demand for luxury cars from many cities other than metropolitan.

According to the reports, They have been the best among all the tier 1 cities. However, now the company has the focus to capture people for tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Now the customers in other towns also enjoy the post-sale service of the premium car manufacturer.

The part of the credit also goes to the government who invest funds in boosting industries in other cities too. The government spends funds in such a way so that equality between states be minimized.

By doing this Mercedes is the first brand to capture cities other than metropolitan. All other luxury brands have limited consumer segment of Tier 1 cities.

Mercedes decides to take this big step by analysis of the conditions of Indian roads.

In a report from the Times of India, it was stated that Mercedes is planning to capture 15 Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.

Such cities include, Jamnagar, Kutch, Valsad, Bellary, Dharwad, Udupi, Jalgaon, Gandhinagar and much more.

For these cities, the company has some other plans too like launching service on wheels. This service is for that consumer who wants seamless access to services.

Current status of Mercedes is, it has 93 outlets all over India. According to the reports of the company out of total sales in India 15-20% revenue is adjusted from tier 1  and tier 2 cities.
