First-Ever Commercially Printed Christmas Card Is Being Sold For $25,000

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The first-ever commercially printed Christmas card in the world will be sold in the United States of America and you can get it for $25,000.

The card was marketed in 1843 and it is being sold through a Boston-based book dealer.

The card was created by Henry Cole, John Calcott Horsley, and Joseph Cundall.

At that point, the card was controversial.

Members of the Britain Temperance Movement said that the young girl in the picture was consuming alcohol.

Justin Schiller, the president of the Battledore Limited, the New Year Antiquities Dealership that owns the card right now, said that the card was really controversial at that time.

After it was released, it took 3 more years before a Christmas card was commercially printed.

According to official reports, there are around 1,000 copies of the card that were originally produced.

There are around 30 of them that are known to exist right now.

The card that is being sold through Boston-based book dealer Marvin Getman is reportedly one of the finest known copies that are in circulation, said reports.

The card was officially placed in the market with a price of $25,000.
