Indian Man Who Committed Suicide In Quarantine Ward Tests Negative From The Virus

A patient that was suspected to have the coronavirus committed suicide in a quarantine ward in India at a hospital.

The incident happened in the Shamli District of Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, the man’s test results said that the man did not have the coronavirus.

The sample of the 40-year-old’s blood was sent to the Meerut Medical College.

Before the test results came back, the man committed suicide.

According to Jasjit Kaur, the Shamli District Magistrate, the man was admitted to the quarantine ward of the district hospital on Tuesday.

The patient, whose identity was not shared with the public, committed suicide by hanging himself on the evening of Wednesday.

The reason behind him taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

In India, there are 3082 confirmed cases of the coronavirus. 86 deaths have been confirmed from the virus.
