Woman That Took Part In Protests Against Coronavirus Lockdown Contracts Deadly Bug

A protester that was not agreeing with the strict coronavirus lockdown measures and took part in the rallies has tested positive for the deadly bug.

Audrey Whitlock remained in quarantine for 2 weeks after testing positive for the deadly coronavirus.

She took part in protests that were demanding ease on the lockdown restrictions of North Carolina.

In a statement that Whitlock shared with WFAE, she said:

I remained in isolation/self quarantine at my home per the direction of my county health department. I have not attended any events for Reopen NC.

Even after contracting the deadly bug, Audrey is still planning to return and take part in the protests.

During her isolation, the rally group held 2 rallies in the state capital, Raleigh, and demanded Roy Cooper, the governor of North Carolina, to ease the restrictions.

Over 100 protestors, who were not wearing masks, remained unmasked and crammed together during the protests.

In a post that she made on Facebook, Audrey said:

As an asymptomatic COVID-19 positive patient (quarantine ends 4/26). Another concern I have is the treatment of COVID patients as it relates to other communicable diseases. I have been forced to quarantine in my home for two weeks.
