CAT 2015 Registrations Closes on 20th September 2015: Apply Here @ iimcat.ac.in

The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct Common Admission Test 2015 (CAT 2015) on 29th November 2015 in two sessions in online mode. CAT 2015 will be conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs. All the candidates who are interested should check the eligibility criteria and apply online as the application closes on 20th September 2015. CAT 2015:

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer-based test held in India. This test scores a person on the basis of quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability and logical reasoning. The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started this exam and use the test for selecting students for their business administration programs. The test is conducted every year by one of the IIM’s based on a policy of rotation. In August 2011, it was announced that Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) would also use the CAT scores, instead of the Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET), to select students for their management programmes from 2012-14 year. Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad). IIM-Ahmedabad will conduct CAT 2015 on November 29, 2015. IIM Indore was holding Common Admission Test from last two years. This year the test is scheduled on 29th November 2015. Candidates should apply online on or before 20th September 2015 from the official website.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (It may also be referred to as Persons With Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions.

Application Fee:

The fees is 1600 (General and NC-OBC candidates) and ` 800 (SC/ST/PWD/ DA) candidates.

Note:

Candidate needs to pay registration fees only once irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for. SC, ST and PWD (DA) candidates must upload a copy of their SC/ST/PWD (DA) certificates at the time of registration. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstance.

Examination Pattern:

It is the Computer based test. The duration of the test would be 2 hours and 50 minutes. The test consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s). For each correct answer, the candidate would be given 3 points and negative marking would be done for wrong answers. If any question is left unanswered, no marks would be deducted. It mainly tests the English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning.
