Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct 10th and 12th Private and compartment examinations in the month of March 2016. All the candidates applying under the private category, candidates with the compartment or the ones willing to re-appear for the improvement of previous grades can check the eligibility and apply online for 10th and 12th Examinations. CBSE Class X and XII Private and Compartment Exam 2016:
The Central Board of Secondary Education (abbreviated as CBSE) is a Board of Education for public and private schools, under the Union Government of India. CBSE conducts the final examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 every year in the month of March. The results are announced by the end of May. It conducts private and compartment examination for class 10th and 12th. CBSE released the notification to fill the online applications from all the eligible candidates. Students can check the eligibility criteria from below and apply online from the official website or from the link provided below.

Eligibility Criteria:
FOR ALL INDIA SENIOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (CLASS XII):
Educational Qualification:
Full Subject (5/6 Subjects):
Candidate who has been declared as FAIL at the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII)
OR
Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the Board and has qualified Class X or an equivalent examination in 2014 or earlier
OR
Candidate who had completed regular course of studies and had been allotted Roll No. for appearing at AISSCE examination but could not appear for the Class XII examination due to medical reasons except shortage of attendance
Compartment (1 Subject):
Candidate declared as COMPARTMENT in March and July 2015 to apply only in the subject in which he/she has been placed in Compartment
If a candidate wants he/she can apply apply for appearing in all the 5/6 subjects in which he/she had appeared in March 2015 examination
Note: Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional
subject together.
Improvement of Performance:
- Candidate who has passed the examination of the Board in 2015 can apply in 2016 for improving his/her performance in one or more subjects. He/she should have appeared in these subjects in the examination held in March 2015
- Candidate who has passed Class XII under vocational stream in 2014 can also apply for improving his/her performance in the examination to be held in 2016 provided he/she has not availed the chance in 2015
For JEE Aspirants: Student who intends to apply for JEE (Main) in subsequent year should appear in all subjects for the improvement of performance.
Note: Candidate applying for Improvement of Performance cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
Additional Subject:
Candidate who has passed Board examination can apply for an Additional subject from the list of subjects enclosed, within 06 years of passing the examination (pass outs of 2011/2012/2013/2014/2015 are eligible to apply). However, candidate cannot apply for a subject involving practical work.
Note: Candidate applying for Additional Subject cannot apply for appearing for Improvement of Performance together
FOR DELHI SENIOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION(CLASS XII):
Full Subject (5/6 Subjects):
- Candidate who has been declared as FAIL at the Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination(Class XII)
OR - Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the Board and has qualified Class X or an equivalent examination from any recognized Board in 2014 or earlier
OR - Women candidate who is a bonafide resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and has qualified Class X or an equivalent examination from any recognized Board in 2014 or earlier. Women candidates who are bonafide residents of the National Capital Territory of Delhi; and satisfy the following additional conditions:-
(a) that they have privately pursued the prescribed course of study under proper guidance; and
(b) that they are unable to join a Senior Secondary School affiliated to the Board or there are such other reasons compelling them to appear at the examination as a private candidate.
Note:
- Women candidate applying under this category cannot take subjects involving practical component. However they can take Home Science with practical.
OR - Physically Handicapped student who has qualified Class X or an equivalent examination from any recognized Board in 2014 or earlier on producing reasonable evidence of having difficulty to attend normal institutions in the subjects not involving practical training/examination
OR - Regular candidate who had completed regular course of studies and had been allotted Roll No. for appearing for the Class XII examination but could not appear at the Annual Examination due to medical reasons except shortage of attendance.
Compartment (1 Subject):
- Candidate declared as COMPARTMENT in March and July 2015 to apply only in the subject in which he/she has been placed in Compartment
- If a candidate wants he/she can apply for appearing in all the 5/6 subjects in which he/she had appeared in March 2015 examination .
Note: Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together
Improvement of Performace:
- Candidate who has passed the examination of the Board in 2015 can apply in 2016 for improving his/her performance in one or more subjects. He/she should have appeared in these subjects in the examination held in March 2015

UpGrading of Performance:
Candidate who has passed the examination of the Board in 2015 can apply in 2016 for Upgrading his/her performance in one or more subjects He/she should have appeared in these subjects in the examination held in March 2015.
Note: Candidate applying for Upgrading of Performance cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
For Additional Subject:
Candidate who has passed Board examination can apply for an Additional subject from the list of subjects enclosed, within 06 years of passing the examination (pass out of 2011/2012/2013/2014/2015 can apply). However, the candidate is not allowed subject involving
practical work.
FOR ALL INDIA SECONDARY SCHOOL EXAMINATION(CLASS X):
Full Subject (5/6 Subjects):
- Candidate who has been declared as ‘NIOP’ at the All India Secondary School Examination(Class X)
OR - Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the Board
OR - Regular candidate who had completed regular course of studies and had been allotted Roll No. for appearing for the Class X examination but could not appear at the Annual Examination due to medical reasons except shortage of attendance .
FOR DELHI SECONDARY SCHOOL EXAMINATION (CLASS X):
- Candidate who has been declared as ‘NIOP’ at the Delhi Secondary School Examination(Class X)
OR - Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the Board
OR
Women candidate who is a bonafide resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and has attained the age for appearing in Class X
(i) if would have appeared through a school as a regular candidate; OR
(ii) one year after passing Class IX and two years after passing Class VIII as a regular candidate AND
(iii) satisfy the following additional conditions:-
(a) that She has privately pursued the prescribed course of study under proper guidance; and
(b) that She is unable to join a Secondary School affiliated to the Board or there are such other reasons compelling her to appear at the examination as a private candidate.
Note: Women candidate applying under this category cannot take subjects involving practical component. However they can take

OR

Fee Structure for 10th and 12th Class:
The exam fee for All Scheme (In India and Outside India) and Delhi Scheme with in the given time i.e; on or before october 12th without late fee are as follows.
- For 5 Subjects the exam fee in India is 600/-, Outside India is 3000/- and Delhi Scheme is 400/-
- For each practical subject 40/-, 125/- and 25/- respectively
- For additional 6th subject/Comptt./One subject for Improvement of Performance is 250/-, 100/-, 150/- respectively.
- For 2 subjects for Improvement of Performance 550/-, 2000/-, 320/- respectively and
- For 3 or more subjects for Improvement of Performance 600/-, 3000/- and 400/- respectively.
The late fee is same for All Scheme and Delhi Scheme and is as follows
- 16th October – 31st October 2015: 250/-
- 01st November – 15th November 2015: 350/-
- 16th November – 15th December 2015: 5000/-
