JIPMER Exam Date 2019 Announced, MBBS Exam Scheduled On June 2
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research has announced the entrance exam schedule for the upcoming year. The JIPMER MBBS exam is scheduled to be conducted on 2nd June for which, the registration would be commenced from 6th March. For the academic session 2019-20, students have to register themselves before 12th April.

Apart from MBBS Exam, MD/ MS entrance examination for July session is to be conducted on 19th May and for January 2020 session on December 8th.
JIPMER and AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) are the only institutes across the country who have their own entrance examinations for MBBS. Then, how other institutions provide admission?. Rest of the institutes admit students for MBBS on the basis of performance in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test). Schedule for AIIMS examination was also issued on 29th July and institute would conduct the MBBS entrance exam on 25th and 26th May.
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research have made the exam schedule available on 2nd August. MBBS course for 2019-20 academic year will be flagged off from 1st July. The counselling for MBBS entrance exam would begin from 26th June and will end up on 28th June. Second counselling for the admission will be conducted on 24th July and the third one on 21st August. Admission procedure for the institute will continue till 30th September.
As per the previous year’s paper pattern, the JIPMER entrance examination is to be conducted online. Syllabus for the exam includes physics, chemistry, biology and English. A total of 200 multiple choice questions would be asked in the examination. The candidate would be given the duration of 150 minutes to complete the examination. Each question will carry four marks. And, there is no negative marking (No mark would be deducted for wrong attempt). Physics, Chemistry and Biology sections carry 60 marks each while the English language and composition and logical and quantitative reasoning carry 10 marks each.
From 2019, the newly formed NTA (National Testing Agency) will conduct NEET examination twice a year. The examination is expected to be conducted between 3rd to 17th February.
