Karnataka TET Notification 2016:
Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted in order fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act. For Becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage – Paper – I
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
For becoming Teacher for Classes VI- VIII Elementary Stage – Paper – II
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A /B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed /B.Sc.Ed.
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).
For becoming Teacher for Classes I – VIII : Elementary Stage – Paper – I and II

B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Application Fee:
- For General, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B Groups for Paper I is Rs.500/- and for Paper I & II is Rs.800/-
- For SC/ST/CI only for Paper I is Rs.250/- and for Paper I & II Rs.400/-
