Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE or BTEUP) is the board which provides technical education to students in Uttar Pradesh, India, after completing their junior engineers course. It was formed in 1958 in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. It was first time conduct exam on 1960 for Diploma courses. BTEUP is mostly affiliated with government colleges, and a few private colleges. About 38,000 students in the following 52 different disciplines of one year, two year, three year durations are being examined at present, in the institutions, affiliated to the Board. The Board of has been constituted under “U.P. Pravidhic Shiksha Adhiniyam – 1962”. It has a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman and 40 members nominated by the state Government. Secretary, Board Of Technical Education is ex-officio member secretary of the Board .There are over 30 trades offered in group A, such as like computer science, IT, mechanical, electrical, electronics, automobile, and civil. There are more than 80 colleges affiliated with BTEUP that offer courses in group A. Other groups offer programmes in textiles, home science, agriculture, and others.
Every years BTEUP conducts Diploma exams for all three year. This year also the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education has conducted the 3rd or Final year exams in the month of April 2015.
