Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University had announced the Vellore Institute of Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) 2016 exam date. VIT University has conducted the entrance exam for the students to get admission into the various B.Tech programmes in the field of Bio Tech, Bio Med, ECE, EEE, EIE, IT, Mech, Chem, Civil, CSE, CSE (Bio-Info), Mech (Energy), Mech (Chem), Mech (Auto) and Production & IE courses into this university. As per university the VIT engineering entrance examination will be starts from 6th April to 17th April 2016. VITEEE 2016 Exam Dates:
VIT University formerly called Vellore Engineering College is an Indian institute of higher education and a Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act. Founded in 1984, as Vellore Engineering College, by Mr. G. Viswanathan as Vellore Engineering College. The university offers 20 undergrad courses, 4 integrated programs, 34 post grad courses and 4 research programs. It has campuses both at Vellore and Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The university and draws students from 50 countries as well as from every state in India.
The Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is an annual engineering entrance examination conducted by VIT University all over India and abroad. The Engineering Entrance Examination will be Computer Based Test (CBT) only and there will be three sessions per day and the time duration for each session or test will be 150 minutes i.e 2 hrs 30 minutes. VIT Engineering Entrance Exam will be conducted in three sessions i.e. Session I, Session II and Session III. The timings for each session are separately timed.
Session I: 9 am to 11:30 am
Session II: 12:30 pm to 3 pm
Session III: 4 pm to 6: 30 pm
Educational Qualification for VITEEE 2016 Exam:
- The Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2015 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate)
- The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50 per cent for the SC/ST and North Eastern State
- The candidates who have studied in regular, full time and formal education are also eligible to apply
- ‘NIOS’ candidates are eligible to appear for the VITEEE-2016
- The candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1994 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2016.
- Aspirants with Biology Group subject in 12th class eligible for the Bio Group Engineering Courses.
