Aftab Singh, a 12-year-old singer from the state of Punjab, is the winner of the reality TV show, Rising Star 3. He won the show on June 8, 2019. During an interview, the 12-year-old said that he wants to sing for Salman Khan and admits that he is a big fan of the actor.

During an interview with IANS, Aftab Singh said, “I am on cloud nine. I didn’t even expect to be one of the finalists. It’s like a dream come true. This win means a lot to me.”

He then shared how his win will motivate him, Aftab added, “It will now motivate me to do more hardwork so that I get a chance to work in films and sing for Salman Khan one day”.

Aftab was the youngest finalist in the reality show, he is on his way home with a trophy and Rs. 10 lakh as a prize for winning the show.

Aftab Singh said that his win is dedicated to his father.

The 12-year-old added, “My father is my inspiration. He has struggled a lot in his life. I don’t belong to a rich family. I have seen my father’s hard work. He has done a lot to make me reach at this platform. It’s not my win … It’s his win.”

This was the third season of the Rising Star, the show was hosted by Aditya Narayan, and was judged by Diljut Dosanjh, Shankar Mahadevan, and Neeti Mohan.
