Recently, after an endearing party for daughter Aaradhya, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated her late father Krishnaraj Rai’s birthday in a special way. The 44-year-old actress decided that she will be sponsoring 100 surgeries for children born with cleft lips and palates through the NGO and announce the day as Day of Smiles.
Later, Aishwarya along with her daughter Aaradhya and mother Brindya Rai went to an event SMILE Train foundation to meet and greet the children. She also cut a cake in memory of her father. But she was soon disappointed and irritated at the paparazzi.
Aishwarya wasn’t quite pleased with the paparazzi present at the event. She was frustrated by the chaos and screaming caused by the shutterbugs and was constantly asking them to stop clicking pictures. Basically, it was a small room for an event and the photographers were shouting at the highest pitch.
Furious Aishwarya broke into tears and requested the cameramen to stop clicking pictures. It looks like the paparazzi and the Bachchan family have an uneasy relationship. Post a nasty run-in with the media on Monday, the Bachchans are seriously contemplating limiting the baby of the house, Aaradhya Bachchan’s public appearances.
The family finally decided to keep Aaradhya away from the shutterbugs. Says a source close to the family, “Aaradhya has been taught by her mother Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to handle the paparazzi. Being so young, she already understands that she’s part of a family that’s constantly in the public domain, and she will be clicked wherever she goes. Aaradhya handles the cameras like a pro.”

Talking about the decision by Aishwarya and her family, the source added, “It’s way too much attention for a child her age.” But now the attention has started to worry Aaradhya’s parents. Says the source,
“What happened on Monday was not right at all. Aishwarya, Vrinda Rai, and Aaradhya attended an event in a hospital. To commemorate her father’s birth anniversary, she donated the cost of surgery for 100 children with cleft lips. It was, by all means, a solemn occasion. Not caring about the gravity of the situation, the photographers jostled, screamed and argued.”
“It’s way too much attention for a child her age,” says the family friend.
In the past, Aishwarya has had a few unpleasant encounters with the paparazzi. Before this, when someone clicked Aishwarya in an unflattering manner, photographers had once knocked her mother Vrinda Rai down while trying to click them.
