SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali – The Conclusion has created a history of the Indian cinema and it is undoubtedly one of the greatest movies that Indian people have ever seen. Mainly, the audience has loved Prabhas’ chemistry with leading lady Anushka Shetty, their romance was one of the key highlights of the sequel Baahubali 2.
Surely, the Southern sensations Prabhas and Anushka Shetty of Baahubali fame have become the nation’s favorite couple. Fans have been going gaga over Amarendra Baahubali and Devasena’s Jodi. Pictures of them from the film as well from various events have been going viral on the internet.
During this heavy craze, Prabhas announced his next project Saaho and since then, fans were eager to know if Anushka will become his co-star yet again.
As a surprise for many fans then came the news that this hit Baahubali Jodi of Prabhas and Anushka Shetty was returning to the silver screen in Saaho. Everyone felt thrilled and loved to see their favorite Jodi again on big screen.
Fans of Darling Prabhas and Sweety were happy when news of their reunion on screen made headlines. Some also felt that the makers of Saaho would benefit from this casting, especially with the stupendous success of SS Rajamouli’s film.
Even leading websites like BollywoodLife exclusively revealed that Anushka was undergoing a massive transformation for her role. It was even said that she will not be seen like Devasena (her character in ‘Baahubali 2’) but a trendy and modern girl. And that itself was enough for the fans to Gaga about the upcoming movie.
However here is a bad news for all Prabhas Anushka fans that might hold you in for some disappointment and the reason will leave you in shock.
As per reports, the makers of the film had asked the actress to lose those extra kilos and because Anushka failed at it, she lost on the big opportunity.
A source close to the Saaho unit revealed to BollywoodLife,
“Anushka was training hard for her role in Saaho. However, her weight has become a bone of contention. She is still about five to eight kilo over weight. And this might cost her the film itself.” Anushka had gained oodles of weight for her film Size Zero.
You won’t believe but even the successful filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli wanted the actress to shed the extra weight for Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. However, it seems that due to an injury on sets the process got delayed. In fact, after the film’s release, many felt that Anushka’s character looked different in many scenes.
Coming back to Saaho, we hear that the makers had approached many Bollywood heroines for the role. Even before offering the role to Anushka the makers had approached Bollywood actresses like Katrina Kaif, Shraddha Kapoor but due to various reasons, the ladies of B-town turned down the project.
