Bollywood hero, the Khiladi Akshay Kumar hardly gets into a controversy but when gets in, it is always something big. We all know that the actor has been judging a comedy show, ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. The show also had budding comedians such as Mallika Dua, Zakir Khan, and Hussain Dalal. They play the roles of mentors.
The ongoing show has got Akshay in a controversy in which the actor is being accused of making a vulgar comment on Mallika Dua. Mallika Dua and her father Vinod Dua, who is also a former journalist, wrote some posts on their social media handles accusing Akshay Kumar and asking him to apologize.
Vinod Dua in his Facebook post threatened to ‘screw’ Akshay for what he has said to Mallika Dua. This didn’t go down well with the lady and her father, who took to social media and expressed their anger.
Vinod posted on Facebook, “I am going to screw this cretin Akshay Kumar for telling his co-worker Mallika Dua that “aap bell bajao main aap ko bajata hun” at 5:26.This is his sense of humor and language. Star Plus..wake up..”
Mallika also stated that she doesn’t want to feel uncomfortable at her workplace. Sharing her father’s post, Mallika Dua wrote, “So, I want humor to be limitless. I also don’t want to be uncomfortable at my workplace 🙁 The lines are blurred. Thoughts?”
Interestingly, both the posts have been deleted. The reason behind it is yet to be known. Due to the poor TRPs of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, along with Mallika other mentors, Zakir Khan and Hussain Dalal were also sacked from the show.
Akshay Kumar hasn’t responded yet to the controversy. However, people started finding new angles of the controversy all on their own when the posts by Vinod Dua and daughter, Mallika Dua vanished. Many claimed that she and her father have stepped back.
Twitter Reactions:
Not that I’ve slightest concern for Akshay Kumar, but in current Mallika Dua controversy, I don’t think “bajao” had any sexual undertones.

Funny how Vinod Dua finds Akshay Kumar’s comment on a comedy show about his daughter(Mallika Dua) very unethical.

Coming from a lady who’ve depicted Tinder Aunt in 2 of her videos & making sexual jokes about male body parts every now & then.

No. Its all about gender. If a woman makes a joke, its comedy. But if a man makes the same joke on woman, than it becomes sexist.

But a few people supported the comedian:
People trolling @MallikaDua for playing Tander aunty can piss right off.

Akshay Kumar made an insensitive remark on Mallika Dua. Hoping Twinkle Khanna will write a scathing column on him as she does it always 🙂

Tum Ghanti Bajao Main Tumhe Bajata Hun.
Absolutely Insensitive and Shameful Comment by @akshaykumar
In Support of @MallikaDua— Abhishek Parihar (@BlogDrive) October 25, 2017
The YouTube sensation had initially made her Twitter handle private and the posts by her and her father were also not visible. However, Mallika has now again made her Twitter profile public.
Mallika Dua made a comeback and gave bang-on replies to trolls who asked her about deleting the tweets and making her profile private.
Sorry to quash your hunger for sensationalism but Facebook and perhaps a copyright claim had it removed. Find something better to do. pic.twitter.com/c9zwEslJgA
