Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is an integral part of Indian household for a very long time now and Daya Ben is an indispensable part of it ever since it began. It’s no doubt that Jethalal and Daya Ben are one of the most beloved couples in the television industry. TMKOC has first aired in 2008 and it never failed to make the audience laugh. Rumors have been circulating that Daya Ben had bid adieu to the show and called it quits because of her daughter as she’s still very young.
A few months back, the ardent fans of TMKOC were upset with the fact that Disha Vakani aka Daya Ben was quitting the show when she was expecting her first baby, later it was clarified that there was no official statement of Disha quitting the show. The producers of the show stated that Disha might be on an extended maternity leave period. Disha has been missing on the show since September 2017. Disha got married to a chartered accountant, Mayur Padia in 2015. The couple is blessed with a Baby girl in November 2017.
Producers gave a statement saying “The shooting conditions are tough and since Disha’s baby is still very young she needs her. We haven’t discussed about her return yet and there is no official confirmation on Disha quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma.”
The shows air on Sab Tv and the sitcom is based on a column Duniya Ne Undha Chashma written by Taarak Mehta in a Gujarati weekly “Chitralekha” The show revolves around 8 families living in a society who help each other and falls into funny situations but solves them together. The members of the society are emphatical towards each other though they have a difference of opinions, They stay strong and united which was the message Taarak Mehta actually wanted to pass through his column.
