Donald Trump Confirms US Rapper A$AP Rocky Has Been Released From Sweden Prison After One Month

A$AP Rocky, a rapper, and two other members of his entourage were freed from jail Sweden on Friday.

Rocky and his entourage had been held since early July after being charged with assault.

The news was confirmed by President Donald Trump.

But, the 3 men are still awaiting the judge’s verdict and they have been allowed to return to the United States.

Rakim Mayers, better known as A$AP Rocky, is facing charges for allegedly beating Mustafa Jafari, a 19-year-old teen, on June 30 outside a restaurant in central Stockholm.

When Rocky was placed in Jail, President Donald Trump lobbied the government of Sweden to release him.

President Trump celebrated the release of Rocky and tweeted about it, he said that the rapper was “on his way to the United States from Sweden.”

If Rocky is found guilty of assaulting the 19-year-old, he could spend 2 years in prison.

Rocky confirmed that he did punch the 19-year-old in self-defense.
