Deepika Padukone is undoubtedly the heartthrob of Bollywood now. With her back-to-back clearly spellbound performances in adverse subjects, she definitely is a standout in all aspects. Everybody likes her. The recent response to the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial “Padmavati” is a stud proof for everything. Prominent Bollywood stars like Alia Bhatt and others were all on praises for the actress. However, it is pretty amazing seeing her along with Ranveer Singh, the equally talented star of this era.
But, it is actor Irrfan Khan, her Piku co-star’s recent interview with a leading news channel that is all the news is about. In the interview, he said, “This name, Deepika Padukone, it does something to me. I like her very much, as a human being, as an actor. I still remember when we did Piku, we never interacted that much before shooting. But we used to interact while shooting and I used to see her spontaneous response to my thing.”
He added, “There was a kind of give and take which was so special which suddenly made me alive as an actor. I think that is the most beautiful gift for an actor if you get a live actor with you. There is a kind of intelligence in her, the way she crafts her role. Piku’s character could have gone anywhere, you know, it could have become a little annoying character because it was written that way, that she is hyper.”
Now, that it isn’t very much transparent to take his opinions for granted. In one way, we might conclude that Irrfan has some serious feelings for the actress, but, he may mean them in another way. After all, let us wait what Ranveer has to say about this.
On a brief note, it is a good thing that they are to work together soon in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next film.
