“Joker” Nears $1 Billion Mark After Crossing $900 Million In Ticket Sales

Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix, can become the first R-Rated movie to make $1 Billion in ticket sales after the movie crossed the $900 million mark.

Joker is directed by Todd Phillips, and on November 2, 2019, the movie earned a total of $934 Million in the global box office ticket sales.

$299.6 million USD was generated in the United States alone and $634.4 million USD came from other countries.

The movie only had a $60 million budget, but now, it has already made $500 million or more in profit.

Earlier, Joker passed Deadpool, an R-Rated movie that made $783 million, to become the top-selling R-Rated movie in the history of our planet. It is also now on its way to becoming the first R-Rated movie to earn $1 Billion.

Joker is also the highest-earning Warner picture in 10 markets and the top-grossing DC movie in 36.

Joker is now the 4th highest-selling DC film behind Aquaman ($1.14 billion), The Dark Knight Rises ($1.08 billion), and The Dark Knight ($1 billion).

When it comes to the all-time superhero movies, Joker is currently at the number 13 on the list, after it passed Spider-Man 3.
