Actor K.K Goswami Unhappy With Shah Rukh Khan Playing A Dwarf In ‘Zero’ Movie

Donning six pack abs, mastering special skills, gaining extra weight, weight loss regime, getting into the characters, sitting for four to five hours to get prosthetic makeup done are some of the things actors have been doing to add life to their onscreen characters. We had seen many actors giving their 100 percent of the character and entertain the audience.

Now, with the release of first look teaser of Aanand L Rai’s directorial film ‘Zero’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, we come to another factor that actors have taken up to add an extra edge to their roles. In Zero, SRK plays a vertically challenged man (a dwarf). Though SRK couldn’t become smaller, the makers have used technology to enhance the character.

“The makers will not superimpose SRK’s face on a vertically challenged actor. They will shoot using Forced Perspective, a technique that employs optical illusion to make an object appear farther away, closer, larger or smaller than it actually is. It will make SRK look shorter,” quoted a source as saying.

The ‘never before seen’ look of Shah Rukh has brought him appreciation and within three days of its release, the one-minute long teaser has garnered more than 10 million views. More than anything else, it is Shah Rukh’s new avatar which has left critics and the fans excited about the movie which is set to release on December 21, 2018.

Shah Rukh Khan can be the visible dwarf with pc assist, but there are many dwarfs in our film enterprise who can act and perform superbly. Though Zero is a film about vertically challenged people, there are few people who are not happy with SRK playing the role of a dwarf.

KK Goswami, a well-known artist of TV and films is not among the happy persons who loved the character of SRK. Goswami, who has worked in shows like CID, Bhabhi Ghar Par Hain, and Trideviya as a dwarf has expressed strong displeasure over Shah Rukh playing the role of a dwarf in Zero.

He said that the director and the hero should have chosen any dwarf artist for this film. SRK has made fun of short-length artists like him as a dwarf. In a conversation, K.K. Goswami said,

“The thinking of Shahrukh Khan Saheb is very good that he has made a film on the people of short stature like us, but did he not get a short-height artist, that he is filming himself as a dwarf. What was lacking them? Don’t they believe in dwarf artists? They should have first auditioned artists like us. If we were not fit then we would say that we did not find any such actor, so I became dwarf. He has made our mark by becoming a dwarf himself.”

He further says, “When Kamal Haasan Sahab was a dwarf in his film, I can assume that at that time there will not be many actors with short stature, but today Shah Rukh Khan should have given an opportunity to artists like us that small people with stature can also play the main hero. If he did that, then make a realistic film. He would have been frightened that he is making a film by keeping in mind that the people of short stature are being blamed, keeping in mind the problems they have. Then he would become a god for us, but he did not do it. He is selfish. They made fun of this roll by themselves.”

Another disappointing thing about the film is its name. People are trolling the title and many opposed it. Apart from SRK, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma are playing the lead roles in the film.
