Rajput Karni Sena Threatens To Chop Off Deepika Padukone’s NOSE

This year’s most awaited film ‘Padmavati’ is facing opposition from many quarters in the country. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ has been facing constant opposition in the form of violence and threats from members of Rajput Karni Sena ever since they disrupted the shoot of the film in Jaipur earlier this year.

As the film is heading to release on December 1, 2017, the troubles don’t seem to end any sooner instead witnessing increasing threats against the director of the film and the actors. From creating violence to slapping Bhansali, Karni Sena is leaving no stone unturned to put a ban on the flick. Despite the fact that Bhansali made a clarification of no scene between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji, Karni Sena’s goons are harassing the filmmakers.

“Rajputs never raise a hand on women but if need be, we will do to Deepika what Lakshman did to Shurpanakha,” said a leader of the group. The group has also called for a bandh across the country on December 1, the day the film is scheduled to release.

After physically assaulting Padmavati director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the Shri Rajput Karni Sena has threatened the film’s heroine, Deepika Padukone. Mahipal Singh Makrana, president of Rajasthan unit of the outfit, said that they would not hesitate to chop Deepika’s nose like Shurpanakha.

As this happened after Deepika called the controversy surrounding Padmavati “absolutely appalling ” and said that as a nation, “we have regressed.” A video is going viral on the web and social media, featuring Makrana giving a threat to the Mastani of Bollywood.

He makes a comparison between Shurpanakha and DeePee and says that as Shurpanakha came from Sri Lanka, Deepika too has come from a different country and hence, they won’t tolerate if she makes any wrong remark regarding the character of women from the Indian history.

On the other hand, Lokendra Singh Kalvi, Rajput Karni Sena chief said they will call for a bandh on December 1, 2017, the film’s release date. He said, “We will gather in lakhs, our ancestors wrote history with blood we will not let anyone blacken it; we will call for Bharat bandh on December 1.”

Twitter didn’t like the way in which Rajput Karni Sena threatened Deepika and users slammed it with harsh words.
