Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Cryptic Message About Racism In Bollywood With His ‘Dark And Not Good Looking’ Tweet Is Raising Questions On Twitter

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most brilliant actors we’ve seen in years. In past few years, he won many hearts with back to back powerful performances. With some impeccable performances in Bollywood films like Gangs Of Wasseypur, Kahaani, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Raees and Manjhi-the mountain man, he was beyond perfection in the films.

He has time and again proved that recognition and validation don’t affect him too much. His skills are reflective of his struggles and his humble beginnings.

But it seems like the versatile actor is pissed up with racism in India which is rampant and it is a fact. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is still facing a tough time in the films because of his unconventional looks.

And this is what the Faizal Khan of Bollywood is probably talking about racism in his recent abstruse tweet. For example, in Bollywood films, the TDH (tall, dark and handsome) and TFH (tall, fair and handsome) men woo the ladies (heroines). But how many of the dark-skinned-not-so-tall men have got the great chance of movies? We are guessing the numbers are few. Racism, much?

Well, that’s been the age old mantra in B-Town and the films. Hinting at it in a very cryptic way is the Raees star, Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He tweeted,

We wonder what made the Munna Michael actor tweet about biases in the film industry on the basis of skin color. It was only last year that Nawazuddin claimed that there is no racism in the industry and it’s the talent that matters. What changed that, Nawaz?

However, the Twitterati came in support of with the national actor instantly and started tweeting back him…

She told him that he’s about acting and not about looks.

This guy defined how a man becomes good-looking by character.

And, some had a funny take too on the situation.

While others just pointed out how proud they were of Nawaz’s looks.

Some negated his statement of him not being handsome with old photoshoots. In which, he looked really handsome, TBH!

In case you are still wondering what made Nawaz tweet such an ambiguous tweet. Then, hold up. We think we quite know what it can be.

May be it is Bcoz Sanjay Chouhan the casting director of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz who recently commented to Deccan Chronicle about how people were cast in the film keeping Nawaz’s look in mind?

This made the actor furious with his thoughts and he indirectly took at the whole scenario of Bollywood and movies. Though there are umpteen examples of dark and handsome men in the industry, we are still a long way from accepting SDH (short, dark and handsome) men in conventional Bollywood films as “heroes”.
