Padmaavat Protests Turns Brutal! Protesters Attack On A School Bus Filled With Kids

Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed historical drama film ‘Padmavati’ had faced and still facing constant disruption in the form of violence and threats from members of Rajput Karni Sena ever since they disrupted the shoot of the film in Jaipur in 2017.

The troubles continued and didn’t seem to end any sooner and also witnessed increasing threats against the director of the film and the actors. From creating violence to slapping Bhansali, Karni Sena had never left any stone unturned to put a ban on the flick.

The group does not want facts to be misrepresented in the film and thus, caused various disruptions while the film was being shot. Despite the fact that Bhansali made a clarification of no scene between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji, Karni Sena’s goons had started harassing the filmmaker and the cast of the film.

They also claimed that there is a romantic dream sequence between Rani Padmavati and Allauddin Khilji. Even prize was announced on the heads of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone and one Rajput leader warned Deepika of chopping her nose if she didn’t stop talking in support of the film.

The Supreme Court also refused to entertain a plea seeking a stay on the release of Padmavati and said the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) considers all aspects before granting the certificate to any film.

However, has been passed by CBFC with U/A certificate. it means that the flick can be watched by all age groups but children under the age of 12 can watch it under the parental guidance only. However, there are a few changes to the title and is set be released as ‘Padmaavat’ and told the makers to make 26 cuts and the movie finally released today.

On the other hand, without even having a quick watch, protesters throughout the country are pelting stones at the makers and theaters. The situation few cities is far more than worse. The Karni Sena protesters went handling the situation in a weird and a non-democratic manner. They took the movement into their hands and went vandalizing the theater.

Karni Sena went to the extent of harming general public, children on the roads. Goons in Gurugram attacked a school bus ferrying kids and teachers yesterday, ahead of the release of the film.  They attacked GD Goenka school bus at Sohna Road of Gurugram as children and teachers took protection under the seats, crying for help. The bus somehow managed to escape.

TV footage of three teachers holding on to the smaller kids, some of them sobbing bitterly and others staring in panic, played on in a loop all evening. Needless to say, the video has now gone viral and a whirlwind of tweets have surfaced, condemning the cowardly act.

This is the new face of terror that instills fear in the hearts of civilians, forces schools to shut down and make families wonder if their kids will return home safely. However, an FIR has now surfaced which mentions that 50-60 people shouted slogans of Karni Sena.
