Parole is an upcoming 2018 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Sharrath Sandith in his feature film debut and written by Ajith Poojappura, based on a true story. It stars Mammootty, Iniya, Miya George, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Prabhakar. It began principal photography on 14th June 2017 in Bangalore. Loganathan Srinivasan is the cinematographer and Suresh Urs is the editor. Songs and score are composed by Sharreth. Parole is released today i.e on 6th April 2018.
On 29th March, due to a delay in receiving the clearance certificate from the Animal Welfare Board of India, which had to be submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification to attain the film’s censor certificate, the original release date of 31st March 2018 was pushed to 6th April 2018.

Synopsis:
Parole is based on real-life incidents and characters. Mammootty plays a role of communist leader. Just like ordinary man, he also wants his family members to be happy. But some unforeseen incidents lead to his arrest and he is sent to prison. The challenge for him is to solve all the mystery after coming out of the prison.

The movie’s gripping trailer has reaped a lot of curiosity. Parole is based on real-life incidents and characters. It has a touching storyline, which has all the necessary commercial elements as well. Mammootty plays the role of a communist leader. Just like an ordinary man, he wants his family members to be happy. But some unforeseen incidents lead to his arrest and he is sent to jail. The challenge for him is to solve this mystery after coming out of the prison on parole.
Iniya plays Mammootty’s wife in the film, where her family migrates from Thrissur to Pala – Thodupuzha region. Miya, Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Prabhakar, Padmaraj Ratheesh, Krishna Kumar and many others are part of the cast. Sharreth has scored the music for Parole, Loganathan Srinivasan has handled the cinematography department, while Suresh Urs has edited the film. Mammootty’s earlier movies which have similar plots such as Munnariyippu, Bhoothakkannadi, and Mathilukal have won the viewers’ appreciation.
Ajith Poojappura, whose last was a comedy, Anghanethanne Nethave Anjettennam Pinnale, has returned to Mollywood with Mammootty’s latest movie Parole. The time around Poojappura hasn’t returned as a director but as the writer of the drama. Sharrath Sandith, who has worked with Mammootty earlier in a TV commercial, is making his Mollywood debut with this movie which is bankrolled by Antony D’Cruz.
