For those who are home-bounded, TV shows are the vital source of entertainment, a sigh of relief is a must for those who return home from a busy-day work. It is no surprise to see our grand parents struck to the silver screens watching some interesting TV serial, it is very sure that our lives have become so much part of TV shows.
Now, with such enormous presence of serials in our lives, an impact is expected for sure, it might be a flat plotline, demoral or moral values, everything influences us. So, it is always better to choose the best of available, be it series or movie, anything that is unethical must be swept off our environment.
Rupturing the soothing journey of Indian TV serials, a TV Show titled “Pehredaar Pyar Ki” is about to hit the home screens, the story line, plots and posters are out and they once for all stunned the netizens and common people. With the very complicated visuals in the posters featuring a young woman married to an approximately 10-Year-Old boy, every poster is quite disturbing to many.
Well, with the scenes that are allegedly promoting child marriage and showcasing the romantic sequences between a 9-yr boy and 19-yr lady who got married in unfavorable circumstances is absolutely absurd. On the top of all of that, the suhaagraat and honeymoon sequences led people in demanding the full ban.
Earlier, a social outrage has already started on social media, someone somehow started a petition against the show, and approximately 50,000 people signed it, it is addressed to Union Cabinet Minister of Textiles and Information and Broadcasting, Smriti Zubin Irani.
The matter has become quite serious after the I&B ministry has escalated the matter to the BCCC (Broadcasting content complaints Council) seeking an immediate response on the plea. Soon, a week after this complaint, BCCC finally responded to the issue, slapping the TV show with a slot change and urging the same to scroll a warning line at the bottom of the screen.
PTI shared the decision on its Twitter handle:
Broadcasting Content Complaints Council asks Sony to move #PehredaarPiyaKi to 10pm slot, run with scroll it doesn’t promote child marriage

Earlier, the show used to air at 8.30 pm and it’s considered to be the prime time for Indian Television; so, the high number of complaints is obvious. 10 pm is a restrictive hour and so, the BCCC ordered to shift the slot accordingly.
The producer of the series is quoted saying, “We have not received anything yet. As and when we receive it (instructions from the ministry), we will reply to it. We will explain our point of view.”
The producers declared that they have limits regarding the show and they’re following that strictly, “The channel has just got the information and once they receive a notice will they decide on what to do next,” they concluded.
We have earlier mentioned that the serial crew has an important thing to say, they denied the comments made by people, turned down the outrage saying that people have misconceptions about the storyline.
It is well known that the 8:30 PM slot is crowd’s favorite and more TRP would be expected if it is telecasted at that time. So, in order to avoid losing the much-awaited slot, the serial staff is ready to alter few plots and it is believed that those interesting twists in the show will restrict them from doing so.
The rumor has it that Diya as a 30-yr woman, while Ratan will be shown as a young man of 21 years. What’s more, their wedding will also become legal by then and they will be shown as good friends subsequently.
It is added that the show will be having an interesting twist for which audience will get to watch it curiously.
As of now it is well known that “Beyhadh” is going well at 10 PM and the slot of 10:30 PM is reserved for “Crime Patrol” which also is doing good. KBC will be aired for 30 minutes, whereas “Vighnaharta Ganesha” is scheduled to be telecast at 9:30 PM.
On the top of that, TRP has become a new-found problem for “PPK”, starting with 1.1 rating, the show has shown a promising growth, but with time a rapid decline is observed which is now 0.8. It is very transparent to assume that the rating will further go down if there is a slot change.
