With the kick-start from Aamir Khan’s much acclaimed ‘Dangal’, China has become one of the most advantageous places for the Bollywood movies. Indian films garnered great attention and praises from the other Asian countries. Hungary and other Southeast Asian nations are not exempt.
Following the footsteps of Aamir, Salman Khan is now all set to concrete his position in the China film market. With the absolute success of 3 idiots, PK, and not to mention Secret Superstar, all receiving top of the class treatment at the box office.
Now, filmmakers are looking to ring the cash registers in China, even if the film released in India two years ago. We are talking about Salman Khan‘s 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Just like the film has received immense love in India upon its release, the makers of the film are wanting to expand their profits by taking their film to China. Though this is big news for Bhai fans and a big step forward if the Chinese crowds take adorning to it, it is the film’s title that will leave you dumbfounded. According to the IMDb of Chin ‘Douban.com’, Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s translated Chinese title is – in fact – Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle.
No, you didn’t read it wrong.
The film will be released with that title and the Chinese cut of the film is not 140 minutes long instead of the original 156 minutes. Douban has also given Bajrangi Bhaijaan a rating of 8.6/10, which will only increase the excitement among those looking forward to watching it in China.
This movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles. Anyway, now it remains to be seen how the Salman starrer performs at the Chinese box office.
