Based on wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat’s life, Dangal is an inspirational story of a Haryana wrestler who trains his daughters in the field to win an Olympic gold for India. Mahavir Phogat’s character is essayed by Aamir Khan while Sakshi Tanwar plays his wife.

Watch The Trailer:

Aamir has worked hard on this role and has undergone some unbelievable transformations in it- making sure full justice is done to the character and more importantly, his story – he gained 30 kg for this movie and weighs 96 kg.

The tagline of the film says, ‘Mhari Chhoria Chhoro se kum hai ke?‘ which means – ‘Are my daughters any lesser than the boys?‘. Produced by UTV, the film has been directed by Nitesh Tiwari and will be releasing in theaters on 23rd December 2016.

What is interesting is that director Nitesh Tiwari keeps the trailer simple and on the face. It is probably the story’s non-fictional nature that will drive more audiences.
