Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui Forced Out Of Ramlila Because He Is A Muslim? Here’s The Video He Shared

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most brilliant actors we’ve seen in years. In 2015, he won many hearts with back to back powerful performances. From Chand Nawab in Bajrangi Bhaijaan to Manjhi in Manjhi-the mountain man, he was beyond perfect in the films.

He has time and again proved that recognition and validation don’t affect him too much. His skills are reflective of his struggles and his humble beginnings.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui hails from a small village called Budhana in Uttar. And today, he is a world renowned name in the field of acting.

On a recent vacation to his home in Budhana, Nawaz was approached by the Ramleela troupe and asked to play a part in this year’s Ramleela. He felt happy for the offer and went on to fulfill his childhood desire too.

Nawaz wanted to play Maarich, a demon whose wish was to die at the hands of Lord Rama.

Soon after the preparations began, a Whatsapp message started going viral in the nearby villages spreading the news of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s presence in this year’s Ramleela.

He was all set to perform in the Ramleela in front of his home people this year. But because he is not a Hindu, it became an issue in the village and he had to pull out because of pressure from Shiv Sena.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui stays away from controversies. He allows his work to do the talking for him. But when a controversy comes knocking at his door, he knows how to react in a coolest way as possible.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, concerned about maintaining peace in the village accepted the decision.

There were some technical issues. I got the order that I should not do it as it was important to maintain peace in the village,” Nawazuddin Siddiqui said to a news channel.

Here’s the video Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared on his Twitter along with the message “My childhood dream could not come true, but will definitely be a part of Ramleela next year. Check the rehearsals.

Senior police officials however say that they had offered to give Nawazuddin protection during his act.

Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had strong words to condemn the act saying, “Artistes have no religion. They have talent and that is how they play roles. We should steer clear of such people (protesters). There are people who try to take the discourse to a different direction.
