Ever since, the debate on the ban of artists from the neighbouring country hasn’t died down. Recently, Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) announced that they would not screen Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan in four states, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa.
Amidst the ongoing debate over Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ ban, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has come forward to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pakistan visit on Nawaz Sharif’s birthday.
The 44-year-old Bollywood celeb took to twitter to fire a series of questions and vile comments addressing the Prime Minister.”@narendramodi Sir you haven`t yet said sorry for your trip to meet the Pakistani PM.. It was december 25th. Same time KJo was shooting ADHM? Why?”, he tweeted.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap took to Twitter on Sunday to question Prime Minister Narendra Modi and extend his support to Karan Johar, whose film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has run into a controversy since it has Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
@narendramodi why is it that we have to face it while you can be silent??
— Anurag Kashyap (@anuragkashyap72) October 16, 2016
But this tweet didn’t go down well with people on social media who criticised Kashyap for blaming Modi for the ban while it’s the decision of COEAI. Most of them trolled him asking to apologise for some of his films and one of the users even tweeted, “Introducing another AK who blames Modi for everything”.
Condemning Anurag Kashyap’s recent tweets questioning Narendra Modi about his Pakistan visit, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said it has now become a fashion to blame the Prime Minister for each and every issue.
“Anurag’s statement is extremely wrong, he should not make such comments, first of all no government or BJP supporter has said they want the picture banned, it’s the exhibitors and theater owners, who are saying they won’t show the movie. So, Anurag should go question them, there is no point of dragging Modi ji unnecessarily,” said Bhandarkar.
Twitterati, on the other hand, came down very heavily on Kashyap. Some of the people even said that Kashyap must be drunk and that’s why the tweets.
See How Twitter Bashed him for his series of tweets on PM Modi :
