Vijay’s Tamil film “Theri” is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 14 2016, and its Telugu version is also expected to hit the screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana the same day. Popular film producer Dil Raju of Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), who has acquired the theatrical rights of the Telugu version of “Theri,” is confident that the film will perform well in Telugu too.
Directed by Atlee, the film stars Tamil superstar Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, while, Prabhu, Radhika, Mahendran and other senior actors appear in supporting roles. The film made with a big budget and high technical values is carrying a lot of expectations not just in Tamil Nadu but also in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
“Vijay is in great form with hits like ‘Thuppakki’, and Atlee has already made a name for himself with ‘Raja Rani’. I am confident that the film will do very well here. Sri Venkateswara Creations and Kalaipuli Thanu will be releasing the Telugu version of the film,” Raju said in a statement.
The film has music by G.V. Prakash Kumar, and it happens to be his 50th album. “Theri” is an action film, which features Vijay in three different avatars.
