Directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, “Kapoor And Sons” movie released on 18th March 2016. The movie catches the on-and-off bond between characters essayed by Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan, who play siblings. Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah play their parents, while Alia Bhatt’s character gets involved with the family and the brothers at different points of the story. Kapoor and Sons since 1921 is a dramedy that sure knows how to put the fun in dysfunction. Kapoor & Sons is a story of two brothers from a rather dysfunctional family. They both befriend the same girl, and things get a little messy when jealousy creeps in. The film plays out over a weekend vacation the family takes together. One of the brothers, the younger one played by Sidharth will finally reveal his sexuality. An unconventional family film, suited for the present day and age.
The movie is about family, relationships, it is about a grandfather (Rishi Kapoor), who wants to bring his family together. There is a love angle but the plot of the film is about a family. Story, Music & lead actors performances are the major highlights of the film.
