Katrina Kaif, a Bollywood superstar actress, who will be seen in Bharat, a movie that will be in theaters on 5th June, shared her thoughts of growing up without a father during an interview with Filmfare.

Katrina and her 7 siblings were single-handedly raised by Suzanne Turquotte, their mum, after getting separated from her husband.

Katrina said, “Not having a father figure does create a certain vacuum and makes any girl feel vulnerable. When I have kids, I want them to have the experience of being with both parents.”

She added, “Each time I’ve gone through something emotionally hard, I was compelled to reflect that it must be nice for those who have a strong fatherly support from a male figure, who loves you unconditionally.”

Katrina Kaif does not really talks about her life, but when she was asked if she considered any male as a role model, she said, “I don’t think I did that. People say you are lucky if you can count your true friends on your fingers. My trustworthy, inner circle of friends know me well. They understand where you’re coming from, your fears and your insecurities. Of course, my parents being separated had a part to play. My mom had a family of seven daughters and a son.”

Bharat will be in theaters by June 5, 2019, in India, the movie is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is based on “Ode to My Father”. The budget of the movie is Rs. 100 crores and its music directs are Julius Packiam and Vishal-Shekhar.
