The much awaited movie of Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannah starrer ‘Oopiri‘ has completed its shooting. The news has been announced by Nagarjuna, the lead actor. He tweeted, “Last day of working with Karthi and Tammanah for oopiri. 2 more days and i finish too!!”

Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Oopiri is Telugu-Tamil drama film which is simultaneously being shot in both the languages. The Tamil version of the movie is named as Thozha. ‘Oopiri’ is the official remake of of French film, ‘The Intouchables.’ Produced by Prasad V Potluri under the banner PVP cinema, the film features Akkineni Nagarjuna and Karthi playing the male leads, while Tamannaah plays the female lead. Nagarjuan plays the role of a quadriplegic patient, while Karthi plays the role of caretaker who brings joy to Nagarjuna’s life. This film marks the Karthi’s first straight Telugu film.

The director of the movie made a lot of changes in the script to make it more relevant to south Indian audience by adding elements that would appeal to them. Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Gabriella Demetriades and Ali were seen in supporting roles, while Anushka and Shriya Saran will be playing a cameo in the movie.
The audio of Oopiri, will be released on Feb 28. Malayalam music director Gopi Sunder is the music director for both Oopiri and Thozha. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 25 March 2016.
