Sensational film director Ram Gopal Varma has said that his upcoming Telugu film ‘Vangaveeti‘ will be his last film in Telugu. Vangaveeti is made of a real story from the 1980s in Vijayawada. The film is a crime drama with full of an evolution of rowdyism. Here comes the problem for the director. The film ‘Vangaveeti’ is evoking fear in the hearts of locals again. The people of the city have been living in harmony for decades.
A complaint has been lodged against the director RGV by members of Gandhi Global Trust (GGT). Gandhi Global Family State Convener Naraharisetti Srihari, in a letter to the Vijayawada Police Commissioner, said that the Gandhi Global Family would initiate legal action to prevent the making of the film.
He said the people of the city were worried that the new film by RGV may bring back the bad memories of days that followed the assassination of then MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao. People of the two rival groups were currently living in harmony “like brothers. But they are afraid that the old hatred may surface again,” he said.

According to a report, “In their complaint, the members alleged that the sensation film director Ram Gopal Varma is trying to raise the tensions among the two castes with his film and sure it will create law and order problem in the city.” Mr. Srihari said that he was also appealing to Ram Gopal Varma to reconsider his decision.
“The story of Vangaveeti is so gripping and true; I don’t think I can find a better story to make another film in Telugu. I want my Telugu film career to end on a high and hence, I’ve decided that Vangaveeti will be my last film,” RGV said in a statement. The film will feature characters inspired from Vangaveeti and Devineni families, besides several other politicians like Rajeev Gandhi, Dasari Narayana Rao and NT Rama Rao, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
