Director Imtiaz Ali’s much-awaited movie “Tamasha” has launched with a positive note with Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles. Tamasha was a highly anticipated movie and the crowds are heading to theatres in droves on day 1. As per the estimates, the flick registered about 70% advance bookings for Friday shows.
Amidst huge hype and promotions, the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer released across 2100 screens across the country. The movie has got a fantabulous response at the ticket counters everywhere.

Tamasha fails to beat ‘YJHD’, ‘Besharam’ opening records:
“Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” has collected Rs 19.45 crore nett from 3,100 screens at the domestic box office on the first day and it was the biggest opener for Ranbir Kapoor. His 2014 release “Besharam” collected Rs 21.56 crore from 3,600 screens on its opening day and turned the biggest opener for the actor.
Now, Ranbir Kapoor’s latest movie “Tamasha” has to beat the records of “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and “Besharam”, but if failed. The reason for this failure is that the movie has been released in lesser number of cinema halls across the country that those two movies. It has become the third biggest opener for the actor.
