‘Vedalam’ Telugu Remake: Pawan Kalyan To Reprise Ajith’s Role

Post the dismal of ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh,’ actor Pawan Kalyan has confirmed that he will star in the yet-untitled Telugu remake of Ajith’s Tamil blockbuster film “Vedalam.”

The rumours about the Telugu remake of “Vedalam” have been doing the rounds in the media for quite some time now. Pawan Kalyan’s confirmation came when he was asked about it during the promotion of Sardar Gabbar Singh. The actor said the script needs to be tweaked to suit the taste of local audience. Hence, it may take some time for it to go on the floors.

It is said that the actor has decided to hand over the directorial reigns of the film to Tamil director RT Neason (‘Jilla’ fame), who is presently tailoring the script to suit Telugu sensibilities.

“Vedalam” is a Tamil revenge drama, which has been written and directed by Siva. The story is about a peace-loving soft-hearted person Ganesh (Ajith Kumar), who lands in a big problem when he tips off the police about a trio of criminal brothers. When the criminals try to seek revenge, they realise that he has a score to settle with them too. The film is the perfect mix of action and entertainment.

This project, however, will only go on the floors next year as PK is gearing up to start working on a yet-untitled Telugu project with director S.J Suryah. It is known that Kalyan’s project with Suryah is the remake of Tamil film ‘Veeram’.
