The Chinese Smartphone maker and integrated wireless solutions provider Coolpad had launched a new smartphone in India namely Note 3 Lite smartphone on 19 March. The smartphone will be available for purchase via an open sale on the popular e-commerce portal Amazon India starting Tuesday, i.e., from March 22. The smartphone is priced at an affordable price range of Rs 6,999.
Today, Coolpad has announced that the Note 3 Lite will be up for sale without registrations starting from 22 March. The news about the same was announced via the company’s Twitter handle. It indicates that customers will no longer have to go through the hectic registration process to order the phone. Coolpad Note 3 Lite is the only phone at such an affordable price range to feature the fingerprint technology.
The smartphone certainly had a plenty going for it since it is one of the rare to pack in a fingerprint sensor in the budget smartphone series. Other of the highlights of this new smartphone is that it will also be receiving an update that delivers both VoLTE functionality and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Specifications
Coolpad Note 3 Lite features a 5-inch HD display with a pixel resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The device has a 3GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device comes with an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 64GB via the microSD card slot. On the camera front, the device comes equipped with a 13MP rear-facing camera with an LED flash and autofocus. On the other side, the device bears a 5MP unit front-facing camera which is in charge of selfies. Both the front and rear-facing cameras feature CMOS image sensors for better image quality.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G LTE, 3G and GSM network frequencies along with a dual-SIM slot. The new smartphone is powered by a 2,500mAh battery. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with CoolUI 6.0 running atop, and will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the future.
“Since the launch of Coolpad Note 3 Lite in January, the phone has received a great response on Amazon.in. So far, we have received over 300,000 orders of the phone in flash sales. Due to the high demand of the phone and for the convenience of our customers, we have decided to open sale for the smartphone starting March 22,” said Syed Tajuddin, CEO, Coolpad India.
At launch, Li Bin, CEO, Coolpad Group informed that by the first quarter of 2016, the company will begin manufacturing Coolpad Note 3 from Videocon`s Aurangabad factory and their target is to produce 1 million “Make in India” Coolpad phones by the H1 of 2016.
