Lenovo has launched a new smartphone namely the Vibe K5 Plus in India today at a price of Rs 8,499. Actually, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus was announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona alongside the Vibe K5. Both smartphones have lots in common when it comes to hardware, with the only detail being the display resolution. The device will be exclusively available in three color variants such as Champagne gold, Platinum silver, and Graphite Grey colour variants.
The smartphone will be exclusively available via the e-commerce giant Flipkart via an open sale which begins from 23 March at 12 PM. There are no registrations required. During the initial sale, there would be an exclusive exchange and upgrade offer for existing Lenovo A6000 and A6000 Plus users as well.
“Lenovo has always strived to push the boundaries of innovation and bring the best technology through its devices to every category of consumers. With the K5 Plus, we want consumers to ‘Knockout’ their existing smartphones and upgrade to a better performing phone,” said Sudhin Mathur, Director-Smartphones, Lenovo India.
Specifications
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus features a 5-inch IPS LCD Full HD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and a pixel density of 441ppi. The handset is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor with Adreno 405 GPU which is coupled with a 2GB RAM.
On the storage front, the device includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to a 128GB via microSD card. The speakers support Dolby Atmos technology and two of them are mounted on the rear to provide stereo audio respectively. On the camera front, the K5 Plus comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with a5-piece lens that lets users capture full HD videos alongside a 5MP front-facing camera with fixed focus along with 4-piece lens.
The device sports a slim waistline at just 7.9mm and weighs in at 142 grams. The smartphone is backed by a 2750mAh battery which completes the package. In terms of connectivity, the device supports the following connectivity features:

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus also becomes the first sub-Rs 10,000 smartphones to support TheaterMax. Lenovo says that TheaterMax is an integrated solution that enables users with an immersive cinematic experience. Users can pair a K5 Plus with AntVR glass and convert any content that includes videos, games, live streaming, YouTube etc. into a huge screen virtual screen experience.
