WhatsApp Rolls out New Features for iPhone Users – Lets You Store Media For Specific Contacts

The popular instant messaging app WhatsApp which is owned by Facebook has rolled out some new features for the iPhone users. The latest update allows the iPhone users to pick to store the incoming media for specific individual chat or group so that the images and videos are automatically saved in the gallery. WhatsApp Adds New Features for iOS Users

One of the significant features rolled out by the instant messaging app is the ability to store media in the kind of images, videos and audios based on specific contacts or groups, instead of the all or blank approach that was followed in the beginning. This allows you to disable such irritating forwards in the form of images and videos from groups you don’t bother about. A couple of days back, the instant messaging platform has introduced Text Formatting and Google Drive Document Sharing that lets you format and send messages in bold and italics.

The iPhone users will also be able to choose the Never’ option if they don’t want to store the media and can also turn it ON or OFF by default. WhatsApp for iPhone users now gets the option to click on a group name or contact name and save incoming media in their image gallery. Using the options like Default (Off), Always and Never, you can store incoming media. Apart from this, during the chat, the app will also show notifications for incoming messages letting the users reply instantly with much ease. Along with this, the iOS users will also receive missed call notifications within the personal chats.

From now on, the iPhone users will be notified regarding the incoming messages which will enable them to respond to their friend’s messages quickly. The company has also uncovered that these features will be soon rolled out to the Android users as well. Earlier, WhatsApp has launched a new update that lets the Android users to share documents such as PDFs with other users via the chat conversations. Document Sharing is now currently available for the iOS users as well.

Earlier, this month WhatsApp added support for sending files from Google Drive and Dropbox for the iPhone users. The new update also enabled the users to zoom in on videos as they play. Facebook-owned WhatsApp is also planning to encrypt voice calls within few weeks.
