Xiaomi Expected to Launch Redmi Note 2 Pro at November 24 Event

Xiaomi, the Chinese Smartphone makers is expected to unveil its next smartphone this month itself. We have already come across numerous rumors and leaks across the news regarding the launch of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 2 Pro. Now, it might finally be launched on November 24 at an Event. The Chinese company stayed silent for a long time on the launch, but a recent development alludes at an approaching launch of new devices.

Xiaomi has shared a teaser image on its Weibo account, but the event details are under wraps. The teaser image which was spotted on Weibo reads, ‘Grand Finale’ in Chinese, hinting at the release of a new smartphone. If reports are to be trusted then the new Redmi Note 2 Pro will roll out with the same specs sheet as its preceding device, Redmi Note 2. According to the My Drivers website, the event is scheduled to take place at the Beijing National Convention Centre on November 24 and anticipated to witness the launch of the Redmi Note 2 Pro.

Expected Specs

As per the publication, the Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to have the following specifications. The handset will measure 149.98 x 75.96 x 8.75mm and weigh 165.97 grams. The new leaked image of Redmi Note 2 Pro was spotted in Tenaa listing which hints the device to have a metal build and fingerprint scanner which is not present in its previous Redmi Note 2 smartphone.

The Redmi Note 2 Pro will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, and will be available in two storage variants. One variant comes with 2GB RAM with an onboard storage of 16GB and another variant will have 3GB RAM with an onboard storage of 32GB. The handset may be powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor. The device is expected to run Xiaomi MIUI 7. The smartphone will also include a 13MP rear snapper and 5MP front-facing camera. The device will be backed by a big 3060mAh battery.

According to leaks, the 2GB RAM variant is likely to be priced at 1,099 Yuan (approximately Rs 11,300), and the 3GB RAM model at 1,499 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,500). The company already sold more than one million smartphones in a period of July-September this year. As per a separate report, the company may even launch the much-anticipated Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone and it might be unveiled on December 3.
