Getting wrinkles on hands is one of the symptoms of damaged, aging skin, which can show up even in your 20’s and get worse as you get older if proper care is not taken. The skin on your hands is much thinner compared to that on your face, making it more predisposed to the signs of aging. Moreover, the back of your hands has very little fat, and when collagen and elastin fibers start to break down, it has a noticeable effect. This, coupled with the grievous effects of constant exposure to the sun, environmental pollution, cleaning agents, excessive washing makes it much more susceptible to wrinkles than any other parts of the body.
Homemade Recipes For Removing Wrinkles From Your Hands:
Fortunately, for keeping your hands wrinkle-free, soft and youthful, you don’t need to buy expensive creams or rush to the parlor. There are many simple home remedies right from your kitchen that can make your hands soft and smooth and keep wrinkles at bay.
For Young-looking hands:
Eggs
This powerful remedy will help to restore your skin’s elasticity. First, separate the egg whites and mix them with one tablespoon of honey. Afterward, spread the resultant mixture on your hands using a brush. Allow it to dry before washing it thoroughly with soap and water.
Potatoes
Potatoes can make your hands silky smooth. First, boil a few medium-sized potatoes and mash them using a fork. Afterward, add 2 tablespoons of honey, olive oil, and milk to it. Then keep it refrigerated. Apply the mixture 2-3 times weekly. Each time, leave it on for 15 minutes before washing your hands with soap and water.
Rosehip oil:
Besides nourishing the aging skin, this oil will also provide firmness and elasticity to it. Just massage your hands daily with this oil to revitalize and relax them.
For Hands without spots
Lemon, Sugar, and Milk
Scrubbing, exfoliating and deep moisturizing is the key to keeping hands wrinkle-free. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and mix it with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Massage your hands with the mixture, in a circular motion, to promote micro-circulation. Lemon will help to remove all the spots, dirt and tan you have in your skin and sugar will act as a scrub to remove dirt and dead skin cells. Now once again soak your hands in milk for few minutes. The rich moisture of the milk will provide antioxidant and fatty acids and diminish wrinkles completely.
Afterward, wash your hands with soap and cold water. Wear cotton gloves overnight to provide warmth and moisture to your hands. Repeat this every day and the results will amaze you!
For Hydrated hands
Almond oil
Soak the hands in almond oil and then in cold water for about 5 minutes. Dry them before applying a greasy cream. Afterward, put on cotton gloves on your hands and leave them overnight. Then next morning, they’ll be fully hydrated.
Petroleum jelly/Vaseline
Simply apply some Vaseline on your hands, and then put on cotton gloves. Allow it to act overnight.
NOTE:
- Cleaning, moisturizing and toning your hands regularly with any of the above mentioned will help to keep your hands wrinkle-free.
- Avoid exposing your hands to hot water frequently – it will dehydrate them. Use warm water instead. Always wear gloves while doing household chores or to safeguard your hands from cold weather.
