Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh: A 12-year-old died after she was set on fire by her neighbor following a clash between 2 families in a village.

The incident happened in the Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh.

The 12-year-old girl died on Friday (January 10, 2020) after 2 families came to exchange blows of the suspicion of stone-pelting.

Dev Ranjan Verma, the Balrampur Superintendent of Police, said Ramu, the neighbor, set the 12-year-old daughter of Vishram Chaurasia on fire.

The 12-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries.

A case of murder was registered against Ramu after Vishram Chaurasia registered an FIR.

2 police teams have been assembled to find Ramu, the culprit.

Ramu fled the village along with his family after setting the 12-year-old girl on fire.

Police officers have been deployed to the village as a precautionary measure.
