16-Year-Old New Delhi Boy Commits Suicide Because Parents Were “Angry”
Sarita Vihar, New Delhi: A 16-year-old boy from Southeast New Delhi committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree on October 8, 2019.
The New Delhi Police said they were informed by a caller who saw the boy hanging unconscious from a tree that was located between Metro yard and Agra Canal Drainage, which is located near Mother Dairy in Jasola.
The caller informed the police by 9:30 am on October 8, 2019.
The police identified the kid 16-year-old kid but did not share his identity to the public.
Authorities did confirm that he was a resident of Abdul Fazal Enclave.
Chinmoy Biswal, the DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) Southeast New Delhi, said, “During the initial investigation, it was revealed that on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday, the boy suffered a minor injury after an accident near Hari Kothi, Abdul Fazal Enclave. When he reached home, his parents got angry at him.”
DCP Biswal added that the boy left their house and said he was going to get treatment for the injuries he sustained.
Authorities also found the footprints of the 16-year-old boy near the area.
Investigating officers found signs of the kid climbing the tree.
The dead body of the boy has been sent for an autopsy, which will reveal the exact cause of his death.
As of now, authorities are considering the case as a suicide case.
Further investigation is going on.
