2 Children Beaten To Death In India For Defecating In An Open Area

2 children from the Dalit community, which is the lowest social caste of India, were beaten to death for defecating in the open.

The announcement was made by the police on September 26, 2019.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the boys were on their way to their grandfather’s house in Shivpuri, a district in Madhya Pradesh, India.

The 2 children are from the Dalit community, which was previously known as the “untouchables”.

According to Raja Babu Singh, the Police Inspector General, “It was early morning and they had stopped to attend to nature’s call when they were attacked.”

Inspector Singh added, “The kids were taken to the hospital but they succumbed to their injuries.”

The police have arrested 2 brothers for brutally beating the kids to death.

According to Inspector Singh, one of the arrested kids looks to be “mentally unsound.”

Narendra Modi, the current Prime Minister of India, is set to declare India Free of open-air defecation.

Currently on his second term, Narendra Modi launched the Clean India Campaign during his first term and promised to build toilets for all people by the end of this year.

According to the government of Narendra Modi, they have successfully created over 100 million toilets in India, mostly in rural areas.

The multi-billion-dollar program was launched to make toilets, raise awareness, and to shame those people who take a poop in the open areas.

This is not the first time a man was brutally beaten by people for defecating in the open.

2-years-ago, a man was beaten up after he tried to stop the authorities from taking photographs of women who were defecating in the open.
