30-Year-Old Man Brutally Murdered In Sarli Kalan, Punjab After Casting His Vote

On Sunday, Bunty Singh, a 30-year-old man who lives in Sarli Kalan Village, was brutally murdered after casting his vote In the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Sarli Kalan is a village that is located in the district of Tarn Taran.

SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) Kuldip Singh Chahal, said that the incident happened when 30-year-old Bunty Singh was returning to his home after casting his vote in the Khadoor Sahib Parliamentary Constituency.

The SSP added that the murder is not related to politics or vote casting.

SSP Kuldip Singh Chahal added, “This murder is not related to the ongoing polls and is not an incident of poll violence.”

SSP Chahal added that the accused were under the influence of alcohol when Bunty was killed.

The suspects attacked 30-year-old Bunty on his neck with a sharp-edged weapon, Bunty passed away on the spot.

SSP Chahal said that a probe has been launched for the case and they are currently trying to arrest the accused who is on the run.
