4 Indians Suspected To Have The Coronavirus Leave Hospital Without Informing Doctors

Nagpur, India:  4 residents of Maharashtra that were admitted to a government-run hospital for being suspected to have the novel coronavirus, went out of the hospital without informing the doctors or the authorities.

The good thing is that the 4 men were traced by the police and were brought back to the hospital so they can be quarantined.

The test results of the 4 people, which includes 2 men and 2 women, are being awaited.

The Nagpur Police released a statement about the incident, where they confirmed the incident.

The statement said, “Four persons, including two women, had come to the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) on Friday morning to give their blood samples for suspected coronavirus infection. They were kept in the isolation ward. However, at night they left the hospital without informing the authorities.”

The statement added, “We later traced them and contacted them on phone. They have been asked to return to the hospital. They told us that they were annoyed over the delay in getting the test results and also over sharing the toilet with coronavirus positive patients admitted in the hospital.”

As of writing this article, there have been 107 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in India.

2 deaths have been confirmed and 10 people have recovered from the deadly illness, which has infected 156,910 people all over the world.

As the numbers are continuously rising all over the world, the government of India has asked its residents to not panic.

The government said that the novel coronavirus is not a health emergency in India right now.

As part of their efforts to stop the virus from spreading in the country, the government of India announced that they will suspend all visas, which will stop diplomatic and employees from coming into the country.

The Indian government has also asked its residents to stay away from crowded areas and to avoid traveling.
