5-Year-Old Haryana Girl Dies After Getting Trapped In 50-Foot Borewell For 18 Hours

On Monday, rescuers pulled out the dead body of a 5-year-old girl, 18 hours after she fell into a 50-feet deep borewell at Harsinghpura Village in Karnal, Haryana.

The 5-year-old girl fell in the borewell that belonged to her family when she was playing in the fields on Sunday.

According to the SHO of the Gharaunda Police Station, the body of the girl was pulled out from the borewell by the rescuers and was rescued to a civil hospital.

Upon reaching the Civil Hospital in Karnal, the doctors declared her dead upon arrival.

The family of the child said the 5-year-old went missing when she went out of her house to play.

Upon searching, the family checked out the borewell, where they found her.

The local authorities were informed about the incident, and a rescue operation was launched by the authorities.

The NDRF was also informed about the incident.

Oxygen was also supplied to the girl, and rescuers also used a camera to check on the child, where they saw her foot.

The 5-year-old girl fell into the 50-feet-deep borewell head downwards.

The authorities also played an audio recording of her parent’s voice to the child to help her feel safe during the rescue operation.

When the camera was dropped into the borewell, the authorities said there was no movement.
