Locals found the dead half-eaten body of Chetan in a sugarcane field near the Prempuri Village in Uttar Pradesh.

Authorities are still unclear about the date of the attack, but the dead body of Chetan was found on December 17, 2019.
According to reports, Chetan did not parts of his back, hands, and his face, when he was found in the sugarcane field.
Nishu was rushed to a local hospital with severe cuts on his neck.
Talking about the incident, Manoj Shukla, the Divisional Forest Officer of Najibadad, said, “It was the first time that a leopard ate a kid’s body. We cannot declare it a man-eater yet. The attacks were carried out in different areas.”
He added, “We are not sure if the same leopard is attacking the villagers. We have alerted our staff and have put cages in different areas.”
This is the 3rd leopard attack that occurred in India in the past 2 days.
On December 15, 2019, 5-year-old Rohan was attacked by a leopard.
Luckily, Rohan was rescued by his family after they chased the leopard.
