Buy OnePlus X Smartphone Without Invites Via Ola App on December 8

One of the popular app-based taxi service Ola has partnered with the fast-growing Chinese smartphone manufacturing company, OnePlus offering its users an opportunity to purchase the latest smartphone OnePlus X directly from the Ola app. Ola reportedly tied up with OnePlus which is a first-of-its-kind partnership in India bringing a chance to its consumers to purchase the smartphone via Ola app. The company has announced that the users can purchase the OnePlus X smartphone without an invite for a day and have it delivered at their doorsteps within 15 minutes of placing the order.

The Chinese smartphone maker has recently launched the OnePlus X smartphone in India in two color variants. The OnePlus X smartphone is the ‘Make in India’ device from the Chinese makers and the company has announced that the local production will start in Hyderabad.  Now, the smartphone is exclusively available on the E-commerce retailer, Amazon.in. This is the first ever instance in India where consumers can purchase the smartphone without an invite via Ola app.

OnePlus X Will Go on Sale Across Seven Cities

The partnership of OnePlus fans and Ola users will go live on the Ola mobile app only on December 8, across seven major cities in India namely, Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.

For those who are interested in purchasing the OnePlus X smartphone can open their Ola app and request a phone, just like they would book a cab. Simply by clicking on the ‘ONEPLUSX’ category icon which will be available on the app between 10 AM and 7 PM, you can easily send a request for the smartphone. Once the request is received, an Ola cab will arrive at the location where the customer has mentioned the address along with a representative from OnePlus, with the smartphone. Customers can then choose the option for payment after receiving the OnePlus X handset. They can choose to pay cash for the handset either through cash or credit/debit cards.

Specifications

OnePlus X will feature a 5-inch AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz which is paired with 3 GB RAM. On the storage front, the device includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

On the Camera front, the device comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera. The autofocus allows you to capture your subject in 0.2 seconds. The dual SIM smartphone is backed by a 2525mAh battery. The OnePlus X will run Oxygen OS based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
