We all know how popular Dhanush has now become starting from being a regional South Indian actor. He already received critical acclaim and various National level awards for being a skillful actor. Dhanush’s new project has begun now, and this time, it is giant one and is officially debut Hollywood film titled ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir in Mumbai’.
A couple of pictures of the shoot are shared yesterday on Social media pages that are going viral now. This film is based on the best-selling novel by Romain Puertolas of the same title. At this moment, the movie is scheduled to be filmed in Mumbai, followed by Paris, Brussels, and Rome.

It is believed that the movie will be an adventurous comedy, as the book itself is of that kind. Marjane Satrapi, the acclaimed French filmmaker/graphic novelist was initially slated to direct the film, but has since been replaced by Ken Scott.
“What’s great is I get to work with a great actor, Dhanush, who is a huge star in India, he’s a great actor, but also a great dancer, a great singer, he has a very unique way of dancing and moving, he’s just very charming,” said the director Ken Scott in an interview.
As of now, the release date is not yet announced. But, the cast includes Berenice Bejo, Barkhad Abdi, Erin Moriarty, Seema Biswas and Laurent Lafitte. Few resources earlier mentioned that Uma Thurman might play a role, however, the IMDb page haven’t mentioned that.
